Kaitlyn McNab is an award-winning journalist, formerly the Culture Editor at Teen Vogue, and a multimedia writer, speaker, and digital creator based in New York.

As an independent culture reporter, Kaitlyn has written for ELLE, The Hollywood Reporter, TIME, GQ, Allure, The Guardian, i-D, EBONY, Bustle, NET-A-PORTER, and more. Kaitlyn has interviewed dozens of pop culture vanguards including 50 Cent, Olivia Rodrigo, Issa Rae, Latto, Amanda Seyfried, Keke Palmer, Ice Spice, Millie Bobby Brown, Taraji P. Henson, Mel Robbins, Chloé Zhao, Coi Leray, and Mara Brock Akil.

 

As a speaker, Kaitlyn has been booked by the likes of Hulu, Disney+, and Peacock, and has lent her expertise to major national stages such as New York Comic Con, the American Black Film Festival, Culture Con, and Teen Vogue Summit; she is also an official judge for The Webby Awards and an official voting member for the 2027-2028 Golden Globes.

 

She learned the alchemy of interdisciplinary thinking at New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, from which she holds a self-designed B.A. titled How to Tell Stories While Black and a minor in Africana Studies.

 

Kaitlyn's poetry has appeared in Electric Literature; she is currently working on her debut novel and several original screenplays for television and film. Kaitlyn’s overall creative mission is to celebrate and articulate diverse Black experiences across all narrative mediums.
